Ninindi and Barb - Improvised Melody with DrummingEvery Monday night in Maleny town, Queensland, Australia, a club known as the UpFront opens its doors to a slew of wannabe and trulybe musicians from all walks of life.
Maleny has become quite a popular tourist town which still supports a local crew of “hillbilly” ‘hippies’ that gather together regularly to share music with eachother.
Maleny is very much a muscial town. With comments I hear regularly from people saying that it is so great to live in such a place that has regular live music playing in town. And not just on one or two nights a week.
This one week myself, Ninindi, and my friend Barb decided to have a go together and slog it through a 15 minute slot on the Monday night blackboard, with an improved piece on Djembhe and Voice.
I stand corrected by Danny Rose as of 24th July, 2010. We improvised that piece!
